Have a true crime itch?! Listen to Murder with My Husband!

I've always been a true crime junkie. From a young age, I was adamant about wanting to be a forensic scientist and had a huge obsession for CSI: Miami. As I grew into my young adult phase, I moved on to watching Law and Order SVU and Criminal Minds, and while my love for wanting to be a forensic scientist has died, my need for a crime fix has not. 

Murder with My Husband is a podcast hosted by a married couple, Payton and Garrett Moreland. Payton is obsessed with true crime, while Garrett absolutely is not a fan, but is fascinated either way. 

They discuss different true crime cases, Garrett mostly knowns nothing about them. Payton does in depth research of each case, including police and court reports, interviews and any official information she can find about the case. 

As an avid reader and watcher, listening is the one place I lack when it comes to how I take media in, but my favorite part of this podcast is how both hosts are so entertaining and bring in their own personalities into the show. And while the podcast could be deemed a "fun" podcast, it's very informational and has introduced me to different cases that have happened across the country, some not having had the media coverage you think they'd have. 

Also while most of the true crime media I take in is fictional and slightly based on true stories, hearing a non-fiction podcast that puts these cases in a real life perspective is really mind blowing! Like what do you mean there's people out there committing the most heinous crimes you can think of, the many disappearances of different people that go unnoticed, the many cults and brainwashing people go through, etc. 

I've been listening to MWMH since 2022 and I'm glad they've been able to keep their podcast alive for quite a while now.
